BCDGA 2006 Summer League
League at Tyler Park!! Summer League Fee Winter League Fee THE SUMMER LEAGUE FORMAT: 1. League will run for 18 weeks of play. Each participant must tally a minimum of 13 weeks during the season to qualify for league prizes. The League will start on April 19th and end on August 16th. 2. At the completion of the season any participant who has completed more then the minimum of 13 weeks of play can drop their highest score(s) before their final league average has been compiled as long as they do not drop below the minimum of 13 weeks. 3. During the course of Normal League Play, we will utilize (3) three layouts. Each Layout will be used twice. During each use, the layout will run for a three week period. After the first week of League the layout for the following week will be displayed with the scores from the previous week. 4. The league will be broken down into Three Divisions ( Platinum, Gold and Silver). Participants will be placed into the appropriate divisions based on 2005 league average/final standings. New players will be ranked by the average after they have completed 4 weeks of normal league play. At the completion of the 2006 Summer League, First place finishers in the Gold and Silver divisions will be bumped up to the higher division for the start of the 2007 Summer League. 5. No weekly CTP prizes will be given out unless donated in advance before the first group starts. 6. Normal League play will run on every Wednesday from April 19th to August 16th. Groups will go out in random/self decided groupings from 4:00PM TO 6:00PM (TD's Discretion). League Rep will be in charge of taking money, approving the groups ( minimum of 2 and maximum of 4 players per group), providing the score card and starting the groups. 7. League Participants are not required to join the B.C.D.G.A. Inclement weather policy will be as follows: The round will always be called upon the onset of Lightning. All rounds will be played unless the group that is present unanimously agrees to cancel the round. If the round is cancelled before it starts or mid round on account of lightning, all present will get credit for being present, but any holes played will not count. All parties present will be given a chance to make-up the lost week at no further cost. If a participant chooses not to make up this round , dues paid will remain in the prize fund. If your group starts early at 4:00 PM and you finish the round, and the 1. last group starts at 6:00 PM and does not finish, that is okay. Early completed rounds count for scores, anyone not completed gets attendance credit and will be given the chance to make up the week at the end of the normal league, in the present layout. Same rules apply for rounds not completed due to darkness. In either case you will be permitted to make-up the round at the completion of Normal League Play. 2. Breakdown of Divisions will be provided at the beginning of league for returning players so that they know what division they will be playing in. 3. Scores will be updated online weekly and displayed at the course on League Night. THE PRIZES: 1. This will be a Cash Payout League with exceptions for Juniors and Other Awards. 2. Anyone qualifying for league prizes that does not want a cash payout may choose to receive alternate prizes. 3. Junior under the age of 18 will receive prizes at the end of the year in lieu of cash. 4. Consideration will be made for a Juniors Only and Women Only Divisions, given that there are 3 or more players in each that are committed to 13 or more weeks. This is only a consideration and not definite. 5. One most improved participant will be chosen based on all players who qualify for league prizes. New players will be considered comparing average from first four weeks versus completed league average. This participant will be awarded a prize at the end of the year. 6. 5% of the money collected for league dues will go to the B.C.D.G.A. to pay for expenses of tags, most improved trophy and to help provide food and beverage for the End of Summer League BBQ. All money collected, minus the Ace pot and above mentioned 5% will go towards League prize payout distributed to all divisions, to all players with the minimum of 13 weeks played. 7. Ace pots will be capped at $50 any money left over will establish next ace pot. If you do not donate to the Ace pot you will not be eligible to win the money in the Ace pot. Multiple Aces in a given night will split cash in Ace pots. Ex (2 aces w/ 1 ace pot, splits 1 ace pot) ( 2 aces w/2 ace pots, splits 2 ace pots) ( 2 aces w/3 ace pots, splits 2 ace pots). At the completion of the 2006 Summer League if there is any ace pot money left over it will go to the establishment of an ace pot for the 2007 Summer League up to $50 anything over that will be rolled over into the course improvement fund. If zero aces are recorded during the 2006 League then $50 of the Ace pot money collected will be forwarded to the 2007 League Ace Pot and the rest will be split between the 2006 League BBQ and course improvement fund. 8. Ties will split the monies of the slots being decided, no official playoff will be held. 9. A 50/50 raffle will be collected throughout the entire length of the normal league season. The prices are as previously listed. There will be three drawings held during the season, at the end of week 6, 12 and 18. Only one winner will be picked at each one of the drawings. A reasonable amount of time will be given to contact the winner, if we are unable to contact the winner, a new ticket will be drawn. 10. At some date/time after the completion of the 2006 Summer League , a league BBQ will be held for everyone to come have some fun, it will be a pot luck occasion, at which time, tags, most improved prize, other prizes and cash will be handed out. Situations that arise during the course of the 2006 Summer League which are not covered by this document will be handled at the discretion of the League Reps. League Reps reserve the right to adjust these rules when and if it is determined in the best interest of the league without prior notice to the participants. All PDGA Official Rules ( Including the Two Meter Rule) are in effect unless otherwise instructed by League Reps. |
