BCDGA Meeting Minutes for March 1 2005 held at The Clubhouse Newtown PA

One & Done Rapup: John B td'd this tournament 2/26/05. 22 players played the 1 round 1 disc 26 hole course. $57 in donations were raised in donations to replace the basket on hole #27. The tournament otherwise made $32 to the club, plus paid for it's MADC fee and established this years open Ace Pot, starting at $22.
Johnny Boge: March 26 2005, Tyler State Park, Scott Murray TD. A few pins will be made before hand to get a good layout. 1 round of 27, 1 round of 18(13-3). He will use the 13 leftover discs Andrew has from the Ice Bowl, the 2 left over from the One & Done, plus placed an order for some more from Sandbaggers.
We talked about hole #27, what was done so far to get the word out, what we can do further. It was decided to pen an add to display on DGM. Anyone with ideas or access to good places to post the lost poster, email the cabinet and we will send you a clean copy.
April 9-10 2005: Tyler State Park is providing a chipper and 2 workers, combined with BCDGA members we are going to traverse the paved paths at Tyler and chip all the loose stuff on the sides, these chips will then be ours to use where we need them, like on hole #6. We need workers. Here is a list of who is signed up for which day, we need more!!!! Saturday 4/9: Scott, Joe, Rex, Steve, Stephen. Sunday 4/10: Matt, Scott, Kevin , Joe, Rex, Andrew, Stephen, Dave. John Steve Marc and Nikki were not sure yet which days they could help but would be there.
New Shed: The park is going to give us the wood to build a new shed. We just have to come up with a build plan for them. Marc & John are going to work on this. JoJo is in the loop.
End of last year party: The league night awards party will be 4/17/05 at the Brooks house starting 2pm. Starting at 9am the same day at Tyler will be The Buddha tournament, it is back! Buddha tournaments and the whole 9 yards. Lastly we are beginning collection for the 2005 Basket of Cheer fundraiser, so please bring a bottle. Side dishes and deserts are being coordinated by Marc and Nikki. We are hoping to get the BOC rolling quickly with the drawing the first meeting in August.
Rex requested a separate account be created for a Locks Fund. Marc will at the least give it a separate GL column.
League night starts 4/20/05 at 6pm, and runs for 18 weeks. It is proposed but not finalized to move the meeting to Wednesdays after league play during the duration of League Night.
We spent a long time discussing membership levels, fundraisers ideas, member expectations, etc. Nothing was finalized but the cabinet is tasked with coming up with ideas to help the club grow, evolve, stabilize, and something will be available for general vote on or before the next meeting. All ideas and suggestions are welcome and should be sent to cabinet@bcdga.org
PDGA Sanctioning agreements for GE AM Cup and Yetter have been sent in.
We spoke with Kevin about getting a 30 second spot at the end of DGM for our use.
We watched the latest, yet to be released, copy of DGM.
