November 01 2005 BCDGA meeting, held at The ClubHouse Bar & Grille, Newtown PA

No old business worth talking about.

 

We discussed that we still need to pay MADC fees for calendar listing. 

(as a follow up, John gave Marc the count of what needed to be paid and Marc will mail this week.)

 

Event review: 21 players showed for the Moonlighter, everyone had a great time.  The extra decorations

by McGinley were a fine touch everyone loved.  Doubles November 12th, 9:30am bring your partner.

Sunday league is in progress.  An excited Mela started the Sunday league a week early, but it is okay.

8 players the first week, 16 the second week.  Donuts for those who arrive early.  Joe is also running

a 50/50 drawing, to be drawn within about 6 weeks, and again at the end.  $2 to play plus $1 ace, and

weekly ctp prizes.

A few more events will be run, intended to promote the local recreational player, but these dates are not

yet set.

 

We are going to look into making the Yetter a charity event, to help with raising sponsorship.  Rex to speak with

John Deusler re: Make-A-Wish foundation.

 

John McGinley is going to look at running another BCDGA casino trip.

 

We decided not sanction the Great Eastern as a PDGA event, but to fit it into the calendar where it

fits good for the MADC schedule.

 

We agree to sponsor $60 for Disc Golf Monthly to pay for air time to view in the southern PA/DE region.

Delaware disc golfers are also paying $60.  We will get an ad on the show for the money.

 

BCDGA cabinet elections will be the next meeting December 6th, be there and rock the vote.  The following

nominations have been made thus far:

Treasurer         - Marc Brooks (accepted nomination)

Webmaster         - John Birkrem & Marc Brooks as a team to make sure it gets done

Quartermaster           - Joe Margay (has yet to accept nomination)

Public Relations - Steve Agocs (accepted nomination)

Course Maintenance      - Dave Martinez (has yet to accept nomination)

Course Pro       - Joe Mela (has yet to accept nomination)

Club Photographer       - John McGinley (accepted nomination)

Graphic Designer - Jenny Troester (has yet to accept nomination)

 

If you would like to run for a position, or nominate someone in the club for a position, then please

speak up before the next meeting, all are welcome.

 

Rex Hay is running for MADC president.  Scott Murray is running for MADC Vice President.  MADC general

meeting is November 26th, in Delaware.
