HISTORY OF THE CLUB

A few years ago a few guys were surfing the web and happened to come across an article about Disc Golf, and found out a golf course was near by. So being disc nuts, and having played object golf for numbers of years, they went and checked it out. Well to shorten this story, in April of 1996 The Flying Squirrels Disc Golf Club was formed. Since then the Squirrels have grown to over 20 members and we are a proud member of the MADisC organization.
In December of 1997 the club voted to change it's name to The Flying Squirrels Disc Sports Club to be able to attract more members and expand in other disc sport arenas such as Ultimate & Guts, which it was agreed, we all enjoy playing.
Currently the Flying Squirrels are working in conjunction with the Bucks County Whitetails as the Bucks County Disc Golf Alliance. Here you will find a more detailed history to explain how the two clubs formed and how the alliance can to be.
Effective 11/3/2003, the Flying Squirrels are now officially merged with the Bucks County Whitetails with the club being Bucks County Disc Golf Alliance. this page is maintained for historical purposes.

OBJECTIVES & GOALS

Our goals are simple, to be able to build a new disc golf course that can proudly display The Flying Squirrels name. Stimulate the growth of our disc club family. Make Disc Golf and Disc Sports a visible, active and respected part of the Delaware Valley Community.

Our meetings are held the first Monday of each month at Applebee's, Newtown PA. Not only is this an FSDSC meeting, but it is also the BCWT and BCDGA meeting.
