- Summer League Recap - 44
Players..Unbelievable!
Another wonderful day, perfect for
golf, and boy did everyone come out in force. I love it.
44 players this week, another new record. 14 players were brand
new to this years league. Looks like folks appreciate the
stagger start times even if the layout is a little disappointing
for some. There were 28 players out before I even arrived. Joe
took over top seed this week, edging out Nick with a 43 to Nicks
44. Great shooting for both these guys. Players on the hot side
this week were Sean Young shooting 13 strokes better with a 67
and Russ Botson shooting 6 strokes better with a 53. I also must
make mention of Rex Hay and Chuck Ott who both shot 49's this
week. The SCHNIDE is back, and on this week schnide are Bill
Stosch, March Brooks and Ben Dugas all coming in 10 strokes
worse than last week. Jay "Who is this guy" Klein is also on the
schnide going from #1 seed to #16 with a 54 round. Next week
with be the same layout with layout 2 being revealed the week
after. First 50/50 draw... [Read More]

- Summer League Recap - Awesome Start!
Okay week 1 has come and gone, we could not have asked for a
better day or a better turnout. Thanks to all 35 players, I
hope to see you every week. 2005 platinum champion Nick Knapp,
along with course pro Joe Mela and course demon Taz started off
the year with 47 each. Now you might think that would put them
into a tie for first place. NOOOOO, who is this Jay Klein man,
he edged them out with a hotter 46. Yes I know, easy layout...

- Spring Fools Madness Recap:
It is true that a full moon brings
out the 'Fools'... 17
actually! It was a perfect night for disc golf with a twist,
with the temperature in the 60s and no rain the hearty few that
came out on Friday had a fun time. Despite getting the dreaded
'Birkrem Card' and having to play
with Birkrem, it was actually to Stu's benefit as
in the end having that card took a
total of 8 strokes off his score. There were many tales of
getting (put you own word here) by an opponent and the card
played. For example... Mr.
Rex Hay on hole number eight, drives to within 6 feet of the
basket (an almost guaranteed
deuce)
and
standing behind his marker gloating
about such a great drive, only to be deflated by Alan Sweeton
and his 'Switch Drives'
card... now Mr. Hay is thirty feet away from the basket!!! Oh,
Well!!
Congratulations to
all that came out and especially to Marc Brooks and his 47 in
the dark... and condolences to Dave Haneman... good luck
Chess!!!!

- Casino Trip Recap by JAFO - On a brisk Sunday morning on
March 26th 2006, Forty One brave individuals embarked on an
adventure. We left from the Kohl's parking lot in Hamilton
Township en-route to the far away land known, as ATLANTIC
CITY!!! The Journey was smooth and entertaining. A guest
appearance by Jim Carey kept everyone laughing. Food was
shared and Beverages flowed. Rumors later surfaced of
people drinking Miller Lite through candy straws! We
arrived at... [Read
