- Week 16, 17 and 18 Recap
Week 16
I-95 was buckling, it was hot, construction was horrible,
105 degrees in the Harbor Tunnel.... OH wait, that was my
trip, I was not here that week. Sorry, I'll see if Mr.
McGinley has anything to recap for week 16.
Week 17
Okay players shooting under 50 were Joe Mela, Alan Sweeton,
John Murphy, Matt Lowe, Stephen Deering, Nick Knapp, Tom
Kady, Trenton Franz, and Tom Potts. Schnides of the
week go to John McGinley for a 7 stroke decline, Scott
Murray for a 9 stroke decline. Notables for the week were
Alan Sweeton with a 7 stroke improvement, Harry Baker with a
7 stroke improvement, Bob Seaman with a 7 stroke
improvement, Rex Hay with a 9 stroke improvement, and
Trenton Franz with a 10 stroke improvement. It seems week 2
of a layout always shows the best swings. Congrats to
Matt Lowe for his ace on Hole #14. He was awarded $50 for
his throw.
Week 18
Okay well 43 was the best score this week brought in by Joe
Mela, he wanted to shoot 39 but was happy with 43. Other
hot players are John Murphy, Matt Lowe, Jay Klein, Marc
Brooks all shooting under 50, and Russ Botson, Scott Murray,
Rex Hay, Trenton Franz, Tom Kady, Nick Knapp, Stephen
Deering, Justin Ryan and Chuck Ott for all shooting under
par. Improving players were Scott Murray with a 8 stroke
better 53, Justin Ryan with a 9 stroke better 50 and John
Birkrem with a 9 stroke better 57. Well the schnide
this week goes out to anyone who normally jump over the
Birkrem Bar, but this week, were clipped at the knees by the
Birkrem Bar: Bob Seaman, Rick Armour, Bill Stosch and
Stephen Caffery.
Next week is the make up week for anyone but the 9 that
played before the lightning of week 12. See you then. The
last 50/50 drawing is next week, winner will take home over
$80.
Heard on the course:
"I had a great heard on the course for you two weeks ago,
'nice run at it, from 5 feet away'."
"So is Kevin buying us beer?"
"Anyone seen Glenn?"
Remember the end of league party if 9/24/06 at Marc Brooks
house, if you have enough weeks to qualify, and will be
unable to make it, please be sure to give us your address so
we can mail you your winnings. We will be handing out the
cash at that time.
The results link should now show your divisions. PLT -
Platinum, GLD - Gold, SIL - Silver, BRN - Bronze, UNR -
Unrated. These divisions were based off of your average of
the first 9 weeks, for those who have played at least 4
weeks.

- Bridge from Hole 9-10 Progress - The 43 foot telephone
pole was moved this weekend. Saturday Marc
Brooks, Trenton, Harry Baker moved the 43 foot pole from the
basket of hole 9 to the creek bed below using an 8 inch
bottle jack and some logs. Sunday Marc Brooks, Trenton
and Rex Hay and Harry Baker managed to get the pole in
position so that both ends were on the bank. Dave
Martinez, Ray Martinez, Steve "The Canadian" Caffery, Joe
Mela and some others stopped by to lend a hand throughout
the process also. Thank you to all who helped out.
Now we need to get our foundations in place and start
building the deck of the bridge. Any volunteers?
Camera phone pics of Sunday's progress.
