Yetter Recap - 98 Players participate in the
2006 Eric C. Yetter Champion's Cup!!!!
After many years of being a
bridesmaid at the Eric C. Yetter Champions Cup , Brian
Schweberger finally went to the alter winning $1055 in cash
by shooting a 40 under par 223 for an 8 stroke victory over
the red hot Mike Moser who was heavily favored to win his
fourth Yetter title. Brian also won a paid berth in the
Dragan Disc Golf Championships in Auburn, Maine an
affiliated Yetter tourney. On his way to victory, Schwebie
took three of the four layout records, only giving up the
Round 2 "B" layout record to Steve Brinster, who was last
year's Yetter Champion. Steve placed fourth in this year's
competition in a tie with the BCDGA's own Joe "The
Technician" Mela.
It would seem that the
second year in a row of the BCDGA Cabinet sponsoring the Pro
ladies registration fees (50% last year, 75% this year) is
starting to payoff as we had 9 Female Pro entries and 5
Female Amateur entries. The Ladies' Pro Open Division was
won by Carrie Burl Berlogar who had just arrived back in the
states after helping lead Team USA to a victory over Team
Europe in the Presidents Cup followed by an 8 stroke victory
in the European Open. Great job Burl! We hope you come
back!
BCDGA Cabinet members who
finished strong were Rex "Hobie" Hay who took second in the
Pro Grandmaster division and Marc Brooks who tied for third
in the Advanced AM division. Tyler State Park regulars
Marie and Tim Fry did very well with Marie winning the
Advanced Ladies division by nine strokes and Tim finishing
second in the Advanced Grandmasters. In the Advanced
Masters division our own Glenn Patterson finished strong in
second place. Other local talent swept the Intermediate
Amateur competition where Kyle Dorney, Bob Zdziera, and Stu
Kaplan finished 1st, 2nd, and 3rd respectively. See what
playing League night will do for your game! Time to move up
boys!

Great prizes and side-events. And nice job discounting
pro womens fees and starting the women on hole 1.

Hi Everyone,
Just wanted to express my appreciation to each and every one
of you who made this event so spectacular. The course was
big, mean, beautiful and challenging. Thanks for taking care
of the ladies with the starting holes - it's appreciated
more than you can imagine. Special thanks to Carolyn Parrish
and Jeannie Helseth for the excellent spotting Sunday
morning (and Jerry ? too). That alleviated loads of stress
(and strokes for lost discs). Thank you to all of your
sponsors and for the prize packages (incredible!). The
program was beautiful - especially the cover - great picture
Ted! The competition was great - I enjoyed playing with and
meeting all of you. This was one of the best events I have
ever been to and I'm already looking forward to next year.
Keep up the good work!
Sincerely,
Marie K. Fry

Dear Andrew,
I wanted to send a big THANK YOU to you, Alan, and everyone
in your club involved in putting on such an Awesome event.
Your hard work is greatly appreciated. The course was
challenging for my small arm, but it was so much fun. I
loved the hay bale hole! I especially loved how well you
take care of the womens division. I haven't played in many
tournaments, but none have compared to date. I look forward
to the Yetter next year, I certainly cannot miss it!
Thanks Again,
Laura Wanderling
