BCDGA Winter League

The next two weekends (Dec 22-23 and Dec 29-30) are Winter League Make-Up days.

Both Saturday and Sunday Joe and Hobie will be at the park from 8 am to 11 am to send out anyone who wishes to obtain a make-up round for any weeks they missed.  The par will be the same (61) and the course will remain in the current layout for all 4 days.

Cost will be $4 for any make up round.  If you want to get in 2 rounds the same day, then you’ll have to start early (8am), because Joe and Hobie won’t be sending anyone out after 11am on the make-up days.

Feel free to come out and practice the current layout and/or verify a make-up round for another player.  This is a difficult 61 par layout.
 

Hey all. 

             Saturday’s community service event went off with out a hitch. We had 6 members of the Bucks County Community College joined by Rex, Joey, Todd, and Stu.  In total we all spent a few hours out on the course cleaning up fallen debris and adding to the wood piles.  Our work was mainly focused on holes 5, 6, 7, 8, 10.  On hole 5 we added to the fairway log piles from some trees that were knocked down by last weeks wind storm. The fairway of hole 6 was also cleaned up and a new set of logs were placed along the top of the hill to the right of the fairway so we can fill that with wood chips in the spring.  We also cleaned up the fairy of hole 8 and stacked the fallen limbs on the 2 piles guarding the “C Pin” Green. As well as lining out an exit path from hole 10 to hole 11.  The real work was on the fairway of hole 7.  The large downed tree that the loggers left a mess was totally cut to pieces thanks to Joey and his trusty chainsaw.  The Frisbee team worked hard and we were able to construct a new log pile barrier along the fairway with the pieces from the fallen tree.  There is still some work to be done but in time… in time… I would like to thank the BCCC Ultimate team for there help and for choosing our course for there required community service project. Many of the guys are avid disc golfers so the project seemed to fit perfectly. Hopefully we can get them back out next semester!
